Villarreal Malaysia Academy (VMA) offers one of the most structured football development pathways in Malaysia. Built in collaboration with Villarreal CF (Spain), every player trains under a unified academy system with clear standards, regular competition, and real progression opportunities. Players are placed in our C, B, or A teams and are regularly assessed, and promoted based on merit — ensuring the right environment for growth at every stage, from grassroots to high performance football.

C TEAM | FOUNDATION
The VMA C Team is where strong football journeys begin. As the foundation level of our academy, it introduces players to proper training habits, competitive football, and the Villarreal CF style of play, while focusing on long-term development. Players who show progress and commitment can earn promotion within the academy pathway as they develop.

B TEAM | COMPETITIVE
The VMA B Team supports players who have built a strong football foundation and are ready for higher expectations. Training places greater emphasis on decision-making, game understanding, and performance under pressure, while still prioritising individual development. Players are exposed to more competitive leagues and tournaments both locally and internationally.

A TEAM | PERFOMANCE
The VMA A Team represents the highest competitive level within the Villarreal Malaysia Academy. The A Team is for players showcasing exceptional skills, tactical knowledge, and dedication. Training occurs in a high-performance setting, with evaluations via our Player Benchmark System. Selected players receive a 50% merit scholarship.
